Shoreside to Host Exciting New Live Music Weekenders in Carlyon Bay

Two brand new music festivals are set to bring the sound of summer to Cornwall’s shores in 2025, with the launch of Tunes on the Shore and Tunes at the Coliseum. Both events will take place at Shoreside in Carlyon Bay near St Austell, right on the sand beside the sea.

Organised by Tunes Festivals, who are known for Tunes in the Dunes, Tunes on the Sands and Tunes in the Castle, the new additions promise to deliver an impressive range of live music against the beautiful backdrop of Cornwall’s south coast.

Shoreside beach venue manager Jeremy Kneebone said: “We’re stoked to be collaborating with Tunes Festival’s to bring two incredible new music festivals to the beach this year. We’ve got a great community down here at Shoreside, and there’s a real buzz about bringing some big-name music back to the beach – especially given the history of the former Cornwall Coliseum. Both weekends are set to offer something special, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone.”

Tunes on the Shore – 23rd to 25th May

Launching the summer festivities, Tunes on the Shore will run over three days from 23rd to 25th May. The weekend begins with chart-toppers Scouting For Girls and radio favourite Chris Moyles on Friday night.

Saturday takes a different turn with the stunning Ibiza Orchestra Symphonica, joined by Ibiza DJ and saxophone duo Lovely Laura and Ben Santiago, bringing the club vibes straight to the sand.

Bank Holiday Sunday offers something completely new for Cornwall, with the region’s first ever country beach festival. Acts confirmed include Like Combs, Last Night Country, Johnny Cash Roadshow, Shania by Liz Walsh, Wildflowers Country Trio and lively line dancing.

Early bird day and weekend tickets are already on sale, starting from £23 per adult and £18 per child. Tickets can be purchased at tunesontheshorefestival.com.

Tunes at the Coliseum – 25th & 26th July

Later in the summer, Shoreside will relive the glory days of the Cornwall Coliseum with Tunes at the Coliseum, taking place on 25th and 26th July. Although the festivals are brand new, the site itself has a rich musical legacy.

This iconic location, which once hosted legendary acts such as Thin Lizzy, The Clash, and Bon Jovi in the 70s and 80s, will once again welcome big-name performers to its historic sands.

Friday night sees Sam Ryder, Eurovision and TikTok star, taking the stage for his only South West show of the summer.

On Saturday, expect fireworks as rock favourites The Darkness headline, performing hits like I Believe in a Thing Called Love and Love Is Only a Feeling.

Day and weekend tickets are available now from £23 per adult and £18 per child. For more details and to book, visit tunesontheshorefestival.com.

Music lovers and beachgoers alike are set for an unforgettable summer, as these exciting new festivals bring live music to Carlyon Bay in spectacular fashion.
