Take That Star Kicks Off Songbook Tour at the Eden Sessions

Gary Barlow is set to take to the stage at the Eden Project tonight, Wednesday 18th June, as part of his solo 2025 Songbook Tour. The show marks Gary’s long-awaited return to the Eden Sessions after a standout performance back in 2018.

Four Decades of Hits

The Songbook Tour is being billed as a celebration of Gary’s incredible 40-year career in music. Fans can expect a setlist packed with hits from his time with Take That as well as his solo catalogue.

The tour highlights Gary’s legacy as one of the UK’s most successful songwriters and producers. During his time with Take That, the band picked up eight BRIT Awards and sold more than 45 million records.

One of their biggest tracks, Back For Good, celebrates its 30th anniversary in March 2025. The song topped the UK charts for four weeks on release and went on to become the group’s best-selling single of the 90s.

A Huge Year for Gary and the Band

Tonight’s show comes off the back of a massive few years for Gary and Take That. In 2024, the band toured the globe with This Life On Tour, selling over a million tickets. Their 2023 album This Life became their 12th number-one album in the UK, featuring hits such as Windows and This Life.

The band also hosted their own festival in Malta in October 2024. The Greatest Weekend saw them perform their 1993 album Everything Changes in full for the first time ever.

Beyond Take That

Away from the band, Gary has also made his mark writing and producing music for major artists like Dame Shirley Bassey, Sir Elton John and Robbie Williams. Most recently, he penned Running Wild for Jin of global K-pop group BTS.
