Cornish Proms to Join Newquay’s Eats and Beats Festival This August
Newquay’s Eats and Beats Festival adds new musical highlight for 2025
A new addition to this year’s Eats and Beats Festival in Newquay promises a unique mix of music, sea air and community spirit. The Cornish Proms will take over the clifftop on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th August from 6:30pm to 9:00pm, offering a feel-good evening of song, flags and sunset vibes.
Set inside a big top tent overlooking the ocean at The Barrowfields, the Cornish Proms will be led by a 20-piece professional Chamber Orchestra and Opera Singers. The programme will include singalong favourites from the traditional Last Night of the Proms and well-loved Cornish anthems.
What to Expect
Guests can belt out classics like Land of Hope and Glory, Jerusalem and Rule Britannia, alongside Cornish favourites including Trelawney and Cornwall My Home.
“These evenings will be a heartfelt, feel-good celebration of culture and community, made even more special by the sea breeze and beautiful views,” said Matt Pooley, Event Organiser.
The atmosphere is set to be inclusive and lively, with food trucks staying open late and early arrivals treated to a flag giveaway. The event is ticketed, and music lovers of all ages are encouraged to bring their best singing voices.
Part of the Eats and Beats Festival Weekend
The Cornish Proms are part of the wider Eats and Beats Festival running across the August Bank Holiday weekend from 22nd to 25th August. The festival will feature more than 25 gourmet food trucks, family activities, and stunning ocean views.
Early Bird Ticket Sign Up is now live. Everyone who’s already signed up for the festival will automatically receive access to early bird tickets for the Proms.
