Cornish Brewery Sharp’s Unveils Beach Hut and Photobooth at The Wyldes
Sharp’s joins forces with The Wyldes for new affordable music series
Sharp’s Brewing Co. has kicked off its 2025 collaboration with The Wyldes, an outdoor music venue near Bude, with a bold new addition to the Cornish live music scene.
As part of its Good Waves campaign, Sharp’s is supporting Rewylding 2025, a new series of themed events aimed at championing emerging artists while keeping tickets at a budget-friendly £20 per person. The first event, Hot Tropics, sold out ahead of the weekend, and saw festivalgoers dancing to Balearic beats led by iconic DJ and producer Danny Rampling.
Sharp’s Beach Hut and Free Photobooth
This year, Sharp’s has installed a permanent beach hut at The Wyldes, offering what they’re calling “the best seat in the house” for catching live music with friends. The brewery has also launched a custom-built photobooth, created by Newquay’s Matthew Hawkey of Hevva Booth. Inspired by Berlin’s vintage Photoautomats and built to look like flight cases used by touring bands, the booth is free to use at the first event of each month, allowing adults to capture a strip of memories to download or share online.
A full menu of Sharp’s drinks is on offer too, including Offshore Pilsner, Atlantic Pale Ale, Cold River Cider, Doom Bar Zero and Twin Coast Session Pale Ale.
A New Direction for The Wyldes
The Rewylding series is a shift away from the usual large-scale Live in The Wyldes events, which are taking a break in 2025. The smaller Rewylding events aim to create a more intimate atmosphere while keeping the experience accessible during a difficult year for the live music industry.
Set around the venue’s original Second Stage and with a woodland backdrop, each event will have its own theme, and tickets will remain at £20 to keep them affordable for local audiences and festival fans alike.
Summer Line-Up
Following the opening Hot Tropics night, the Rewylding schedule continues with Solstice Gathering later in June and several more themed events over the school summer holidays. These include Cornwall Forever, Crash The Stage, Pop Summer Party, Freedom, and the season finale Digital Disco in September.
Camping and glamping options are also available at reduced prices for anyone looking to make a weekend of it.
Long-Standing Partnership
Nick White, Brand Activation Manager at Sharp’s Brewing Co, said:
“The Wyldes is a unique venue that brings the best of live music right here to Cornwall, and we’re loving the recreation with the Rewylding Series with its back to roots mentality and affordable ticket prices. Our whole team adores this wooded valley setting, with stages built up from the land and recycled materials, and it’s so close to the North Cornish Coast which has inspired so many of our beers and our cider.”
A spokesperson for The Wyldes added:
“We’re so proud to partner with Sharp’s Brewing Co again this year – they’re always coming up with new and exciting ways for people to enjoy their drinks at our events. We know that our party-goers will absolutely love the addition of the Sharp’s Photobooth and the beach hut, as well as this year’s premium selection of drinks from Sharp’s on tap at our bar.”
Where Else to Catch Sharp’s This Year
Outside of The Wyldes, Sharp’s will also be present at several other big events in 2025, including The Big Feastival, All Points East Festival, Looe Food and Drink Festival, The Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival, and the Padstow to Rock Swim.
