Healthwatch Cornwall has revealed that one in ten people contacting them this year have shared experiences of mental health support, offering powerful insights into the state of mental health care in the county. The feedback highlights serious concerns, with residents voicing issues about both accessing support and the quality of care received.

A Community-Led Report in Progress

In response to these ongoing challenges, Healthwatch Cornwall has started compiling a detailed mental health report titled Cornish Communities in Focus – Evolving Voices in Mental Health. This report aims to spotlight the barriers faced by residents and outline potential improvements.

However, to make this report truly representative of Cornwall’s needs, Healthwatch Cornwall is urging people across the county to contribute their experiences.

Share Your Experience to Drive Change

Residents are invited to complete a short survey to share their stories, whether they have faced difficulties accessing services, felt let down by the support provided, or have suggestions for better care. The survey is available online at this link.
