Police Appeal After Man Seriously Injured in Looe Assault

Serious injuries reported after early morning assault in Fore Street

Police are appealing for witnesses and footage following a serious assault in Looe during the early hours of Sunday 13th July.

Officers were called to the Fore Street area at around 12:35am after reports that a man had been struck with a bottle.

Victim Found Unconscious

Emergency services arrived at the scene and found the victim, a local man in his 40s, unconscious in the street. He sustained serious injuries and is currently being treated in hospital.

Arrest Made

An 18-year-old man from Looe has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He remains in police custody.

A scene guard was put in place following the incident.

Police Appeal

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the assault or may have relevant information or footage to come forward.
