Launceston Crash Leaves Motorcyclist with Life-Changing Injuries – Police Appeal for Witnesses
Serious collision on Link Road
Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious collision in Launceston on Tuesday 4th February left a motorcyclist with life-changing injuries.
Officers were called just after 7am following reports of a crash involving a black Yamaha motorcycle and a white Ford Transit van on Link Road.
Motorcyclist taken to hospital
The motorbike rider, a local man in his 20s, was seriously injured and taken to hospital. His next of kin have been informed.
The road was shut while forensic officers carried out an investigation at the scene. It reopened at around 2.45pm.
Police thank public for patience
Officers from the Roads Policing Team have expressed their thanks to the public for their patience while the road remained closed.
