RNLI Looe Lifeboat Station Announces Shop Reopening and Celebrates Bicentennial

The RNLI Looe Lifeboat Station has reopened its shop for the season, welcoming visitors and supporters to explore a special range of merchandise commemorating its 200th anniversary. Open daily from 11 am to 4 pm until Christmas, the shop’s operations will be subject to weather conditions and the availability of volunteers.

This year marks a significant milestone for the station as it celebrates two centuries of dedicated service to saving lives at sea. In honour of this bicentennial, the RNLI shop is introducing the #RNLI200 collection, featuring exclusive commemorative gifts that include calendars, gifts suitable for all family members, and Christmas cards.

Each item in the #RNLI200 range is adorned with a specially designed RNLI 200 logo, symbolising the station’s longstanding commitment to maritime safety and rescue operations. The collection boasts a variety of products, including clothing and accessories for adults and children, toys, keepsakes, and items for the family dog, ensuring there’s something for everyone looking to support this venerable institution.

While the shop offers an array of items celebrating the RNLI’s historic anniversary, the station has announced that, due to operational requirements, its boathouse will not be open to the public over the February half-term.
