Discover the Wildlife of Newquay Orchard: Join the BioBlitz Event

Newquay Orchard, in collaboration with Pollenize CIC, is embarking on an exciting project to conduct a comprehensive biodiversity audit of its site. This initiative, known as a BioBlitz, aims to map and understand the various species inhabiting the orchard.

Participate in the BioBlitz

Over the next few months, Newquay Orchard will host several events inviting the community to take part in this important task. Whether you’re a seasoned naturalist or a curious beginner, everyone is welcome to join.

Participants are encouraged to use the iNaturalist App to photograph, identify, and log different species. For those without a smartphone, tablets will be available to ensure everyone can contribute. This activity not only allows for the exploration of nature but also offers the opportunity to learn new skills.

Next Event Details

The next BioBlitz event is scheduled for Wednesday, 10th July at 9am. Attendees should meet at the Pollenize BioBlitz Flag, which will be located outside the cafe at Newquay Orchard.

To take part, simply download the iNaturalist App on Google Play & The App Store, create an account, and join the Newquay Orchard Project.
