Callywith College Hosts Open Morning for Prospective Students
Callywith College invites prospective students and their families to its Open Morning event on Saturday, 27th January 2024. This event, running from 10 am to 1 pm, marks the last open event of the academic year and provides an excellent opportunity to explore the Ofsted Outstanding college.
The Open Morning offers attendees a chance to engage with inspirational staff members and tour the state-of-the-art campus. Visitors can learn about the wide array of A Level and Vocational courses, as well as enrichment opportunities available at the college. The staff, noted for their outstanding teaching, along with friendly support staff, will be available to assist with queries related to the application process, transport, careers, learning, and personal support.
A unique feature of this event is the Application Station in the Temple Learning Resource Centre (T205), where prospective students can apply for the September 2024 intake. The college emphasises the importance of applying by 18th February to guarantee an interview for a place in the upcoming academic year.
Additionally, the college’s transport partner, Go Cornwall, will be present to discuss their bespoke transport network, which facilitates student access to education from across Cornwall and South Devon.
The campus tour includes visits to various facilities such as teaching rooms, media and drama studios, science labs, a sports hall, a 3G Astro pitch, and a gym. This tour is a great way to discover the college’s state-of-the-art facilities and equipment. Interactive activities and demonstrations will be part of the experience, including printmaking workshops in the art department and experiments in the science department. Furthermore, the College Principal will address attendees in the Temple Lecture Theatre at 11 am, offering insights into the college’s vision and offerings.
An important aspect of the Open Morning is the opportunity to meet and interact with Student Ambassadors. These current students are well-placed to share their experiences and provide a genuine perspective on learning and life at Callywith College.
Callywith College looks forward to welcoming visitors to this informative and engaging event, offering a glimpse into the exceptional educational experience it provides.
