Lands End Coastguard’s Quick Response to Fallen Individual
On Sunday, 9th June at 12:11 PM, Lands End Coastguard Search & Rescue Team was called into action following reports of a person falling and sustaining a suspected broken leg just south of the Land’s End Hotel.
Swift Medical Assistance and Coordination
Upon arrival at the scene, the Coastguard team assessed and treated the injured individual. The injury was immobilised, and the casualty was secured to a stretcher. The team then carried the injured person to the hotel carpark, where an ambulance from the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust was waiting to provide further care and transport the individual to the hospital.
Teamwork and Support
Land’s End Hotel played a crucial role in ensuring the safety of the casualty until the Coastguard team arrived. Their assistance, along with the prompt response of the ambulance service, ensured that the casualty received timely and effective care.
