Wain Homes Brings New Housing Developments to Cornwall: Liskeard and Truro Projects Announced
Independent housebuilder Wain Homes has announced plans to deliver two significant developments in Cornwall, with 202 homes set for Tencreek Farm on the outskirts of Liskeard and 274 homes at Dudman Farm in Truro.

The newly acquired 10.98-hectare site at Tencreek Farm, located on Plymouth Road, will see the creation of 202 energy-efficient homes. The development, named Lark View, will include a mix of one and two-bedroom apartments alongside two, three, and four-bedroom houses. Properties will be available on the open market, with a provision for affordable homes included.
Mark Harding, land and planning director at Wain Homes South West, highlighted the importance of the project:
“Tencreek Farm forms part of the urban extension to Liskeard and our scheme has been designed to provide continuity and allow connectivity to the adjoining potential development areas which form the wider Tencreek Farm masterplan, aimed at creating a sustainable and healthy neighbourhood to the south-east of Liskeard.”
The site will benefit from good public transport links, reducing car dependency and providing access to local amenities, retail spaces, and workplaces.
This project builds on the company’s success with the Charter Walk development to the north-east of Liskeard. Through that agreement, Wain Homes has contributed £844,000 to the community for education, infrastructure, and sports facilities. With Tencreek Farm, an additional £900,000 is set to benefit the local area.
Mark added:
“This is a strategic land acquisition, working with West Country Land and the land owner, which will roll on from the success of our Charter Walk development in the town, demonstrating our commitment to Liskeard and the wider county of Cornwall.”
Dudman Farm Project in Truro

Wain Homes has also acquired land at Dudman Farm in Truro for the development of 274 homes. Located south-west of Truro city centre and bordering open countryside, the site offers panoramic views and is close to the Royal Cornwall Hospital.
Construction is scheduled to begin this month, with over one-third of the homes (90) designated as affordable housing. The project will also include substantial contributions to the community, with £2.3m earmarked for education, health, and transport provisions.
Mark described the acquisition as a milestone for the company:
“Dudman Farm will be Wain Homes’ first development in Truro since 2013 and is an incredibly important land acquisition for the company. It will give us a very strong foothold in a prime market in Truro and demonstrates our commitment to significantly increasing the number of homes we will be providing in the South West over the coming years.”
The scheme is set to deliver a variety of homes ranging from one to four bedrooms, divided into two distinct areas by a picturesque valley. Wain Homes has exceeded policy requirements for open space, creating areas for residents to enjoy the surrounding landscape.
Commitment to Cornwall
Wain Homes continues to work with various partners to bring these developments to life. For Tencreek Farm, collaborators include West Country Land, Emery Planning, Tyler Grange, AEQ, LHC Architects, Corum, and Trowers & Hamlins. Meanwhile, Dudman Farm’s advisors include AEQ, RLT Architects, GE, SLR, Tyler Grange, Swan Paul Partnership, Savills, Michelmores LLP, and Carney Sweeney.
These projects reflect Wain Homes’ broader commitment to delivering high-quality housing across the South West, while contributing to local communities through infrastructure, education, and healthcare support.
