Tragedy in Helston: Young Man Loses Life in A3083 Collision

Driver Declared Deceased at the Scene

A 22-year-old man has sadly died following a two-vehicle collision on the A3083 near RNAS Culdrose in Helston. Emergency services were alerted shortly after midnight on Saturday 14th December to reports of the incident involving a silver Audi S3 hatchback and a Vauxhall Astra hatchback.

The driver of the Audi was declared deceased at the scene. His family have been informed by authorities.

Injuries and Hospitalisation

The two occupants of the Vauxhall Astra were taken to Treliske Hospital for treatment. Fortunately, their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

Emergency Services Respond

Emergency response was coordinated, with police, fire, and ambulance services attending the scene. Roads Policing Officers and a Forensic Collision Investigator carried out a detailed investigation into the circumstances of the collision.

Witness Appeal

Devon and Cornwall Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or has relevant information to come forward. Those able to assist are encouraged to contact the police on 101, quoting log number 0009 of 14th December.
