Body Discovered in Vehicle at Helston Business Park
Police have launched a murder investigation after the body of a man was found in a vehicle at Helston Business Park. Officers were conducting enquiries in the early hours of Wednesday 18th December after receiving concerns for welfare.
During their search, they located the body of a man in his 60s from the Avon and Somerset area. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and his next of kin have been informed.
Arrests Made as Investigation Continues
Two women, aged in their 50s and 80s and also from the Avon and Somerset area, have been arrested on suspicion of murder, concealing a death, and preventing a lawful burial. They remain in police custody.
Detective Inspector Neil Blanchard from the Major Crime Investigation Team commented: “Enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this incident but at this time we are treating the man’s death as suspicious.
“We understand that any incident this serious in nature will cause concern amongst the community. It is believed that the involved parties are known to each other and there is no wider risk to the public.
“You can expect to see an increased presence around the business park while our investigation continues.”
Appeal for Information
Police are urging anyone with information that may assist their investigation to get in touch. The public can contact police via 101 or through their website, quoting log 406 of 17th December.
