Flambards Announces Major Changes: Popular Thrill Rides Retiring

Flambards, the beloved family theme park, has announced the retirement of several of its iconic thrill rides.
In a recent press release, the park revealed that The Thunderbolt, Sky Swinger, SkyForce, and The Hornet Rollercoaster will soon be leaving the site.
Maintenance Challenges and Safety Concerns
The decision to retire these rides was not taken lightly. Flambards cited an ongoing shortage of specialist parts as a key reason for the move, which has made maintenance increasingly difficult. Ensuring the safety of their guests remains the park’s top priority.
“We understand that these rides have been favourites for many of our guests over the years,” said the park in its statement, “but the safety of our guests is and always will be our top priority.”
Adjusted Pricing and Temporary Closure
In light of these changes, Flambards has adjusted its pricing. The entry fee will now be £14.95 per visitor, with free entry for those under 95cm. The park will also be temporarily closed from Monday, 10th June, as it prepares for the summer season and implements some updates. The reopening is scheduled for Monday, 1st July.
Visitors are encouraged to check the park’s website for up-to-date information on opening hours, events, and ride details following the reopening.
Continued Attractions and Support
Flambards has expressed gratitude for the years of fun these rides have provided and thanked visitors for their continued support. Despite the retirement of these thrill rides, the park promises an enjoyable experience with attractions like Ferdi’s Indoor Play, Skyraker, the Thunderdome, and the Victorian Village.
Information for Visitors
Visitors who have pre-booked tickets are advised to get in touch with the park via email at info@flambards.co.uk or by phone on 01326 573404. Those planning to visit on Wednesday 5th, Saturday 8th, or Sunday 9th June can find more information on the park’s website.
Season pass holders should have received an email with further details but can also refer to the park’s website for additional information.
Flambards looks forward to welcoming visitors back for an exciting summer season, despite the significant changes ahead.
