Art Trail and Dracula Performance Headline Hayle’s Celebration of Local Creativity
Hayle’s unique artistic community is on full display with the “Reflections of Hayle: Telling Our Yarns Art Trail,” now open for exploration until the 13th of October. Local residents and visitors can discover a series of art installations placed around the town, showcasing the stories that make Hayle special. To participate, you can download the official trail map from the Hayle Town Council website.
In addition to the main art trail, there’s a Children’s Trail Quiz, which offers the chance to enter a prize draw for those who complete it. This family-friendly event provides an opportunity to engage with Hayle’s creative community and celebrate its artistic talents.
Workshops and Performances
For those looking to get hands-on with their creativity, a series of exciting workshops will be held throughout the weekend. Whether you’re interested in portraiture, drawing for beginners, or creative writing, these workshops are designed to encourage everyone to explore their artistic side. Spaces are limited, so early booking is recommended. You can find all the available workshops and secure your spot here.
One of the event highlights is David Mynne’s one-man performance of Dracula, taking place on Friday, 4th October. This theatrical event promises to be a thrilling experience. Tickets for this performance can be booked via the Hayle Town Council website.
Free Drop-In Activities and Pop-Up Exhibition
In addition to the scheduled workshops, there will be free drop-in activities available over the weekend. Visitors can also take part in a community art project, where personal stories of Hayle will be collected for future creative projects. A pop-up exhibition at the Passmore Edwards Institute will also be open for visitors to explore.
The “Reflections of Hayle” event promises a weekend of creativity, entertainment, and the chance to connect with Hayle’s artistic heritage. Whether you’re following the art trail or participating in a workshop, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
