Art Lovers, Don’t Miss This! Hayle’s New Exhibition Showcases Local Talent
The Goat Gallery in Hayle launches its first exhibition on Valentine’s Day, featuring 18 local artists
The Goat Gallery in Hayle is kicking off its first-ever exhibition with a celebration of local talent, launching on Valentine’s Day. The show features work from 18 Hayle-based artists, spanning a wide range of styles and mediums, from traditional pieces to abstract art, installations, street art, pottery, and even pebble art, including a playful tribute piece called Vincent Van Goat.
A Celebration of Hayle Through Art
Many of the works in this six-week exhibition have been inspired by life in Hayle, highlighting the beauty of the area through the eyes of its artists. With such a diverse selection on display, visitors can expect something for every taste—whether they prefer bold street art, intricate pottery, or contemporary abstract pieces.
Colin Cude, owner of The Goat Gallery, shared his excitement about the exhibition:
“Since my family and I started this venture the response from the local community has been so positive. It seemed like an obvious first exhibition to host, pulling together a collection from artists right on our doorstep. The diversity of the submissions is amazing!”
A Space for the Community
The Goat Gallery isn’t just about displaying art—it’s about supporting creatives. As a not-for-profit space, the gallery allows artists to showcase their work without the pressure of high fees or commission. It’s also designed to be a hub for creative events, kicking things off with a “Pucker Up and Paint” session for Valentine’s Day.
Looking ahead, Colin hopes to expand beyond Hayle, welcoming artists from across Cornwall and beyond:
“We hope to use the space for lots of different activities and exhibitions. Moving forward we want to showcase work not just from Hayle but all over Cornwall and beyond. Because art is not just for goats, it’s for everyone!!”
When and Where
The exhibition opens on 14th February and will run for six weeks, giving everyone plenty of time to explore the collection. Whether you’re an art lover, a curious visitor, or just looking for something different to do, The Goat Gallery promises an inspiring and engaging experience.
