World’s Top-Rated Alcohol-Free Cider? Healeys Secures Patent for Rattler Zero
Game-changing patent for Cornish brand
Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm has officially secured a patent for its unique method of creating Rattler Zero, the brand’s alcohol-free version of its popular cyder. The company confirmed the news in a Facebook post, describing the achievement as a “huge day for innovation”.
The patented process is not a simple dilution. According to the team at Healeys, their special fermentation technique retains “all the bold, authentic cyder characteristics”, ensuring Rattler Zero is a true alcohol-free cyder and not “just apple juice”.
Highest-scoring non-alcoholic cider in the world
The quality of the drink hasn’t gone unnoticed. Rattler Zero was awarded gold by international wine and spirits judges, scoring an impressive 95 points. That makes it the highest-scoring non-alcoholic cider globally, according to Healeys.
More than just cyder…
This new method isn’t limited to cider. Healeys revealed they’ve already tested the same fermentation process on wine and lager—with “exciting” results. While there’s no word yet on when those products will be available, the farm teased followers to “watch this space”.
The company described it as a “full team effort” and hinted there’s more innovation to come.
