Tarquin’s Cornish Gin Expands Its Refill Project to Celebrate Global Recycling Day
In a move to celebrate Global Recycling Day and further its commitment to sustainability, Tarquin’s Cornish Gin has announced the expansion of its Refill Project to two additional locations: St Ives and Fowey, with plans to soon introduce the program in Salcombe.
This expansion comes after a successful trial run in the company’s Padstow shop, where over 100 gin bottles were refilled, receiving enthusiastic feedback from the community.
The project encourages customers to bring any empty Tarquin’s 70cl bottle to participating stores for a refill of their award-winning Cornish Dry Gin at a 15% discount. This initiative not only offers financial incentives in the form of discounts and rewards but also aligns with the company’s mission to protect the Wild Cornish Coast, which it identifies as central to its ethos and operations.
Tarquin’s has been vocal about the importance of rethinking our approach to packaging waste, emphasising the role that refills can play in making a significant, lasting impact on environmental conservation. By expanding this service, the company hopes to build on the momentum generated in Padstow and foster a culture of refill and reuse among its patrons.
This expansion is seen as a testament to the company’s dedication to sustainability and its desire to make a meaningful contribution to reducing packaging waste. Tarquin’s invites everyone to join them in this endeavour, promising not only a high-quality product but also a way to participate in a sustainable practice that benefits the planet.
