Rick Stein’s Seafood Restaurant Turns 50 With a One-Night-Only Star-Studded Celebration

Rick Stein’s legendary Seafood Restaurant in Padstow will mark its 50th anniversary this September with a special evening bringing together some of the most influential chefs to have worked in its kitchen.

The one-off alumni dinner will take place on Thursday 25th September 2025, and will feature a five-course menu created by returning chefs Nathan Outlaw, Stephane Delourme, Paul Ripley, Stuart Pate and Roy Brett. Each dish is inspired by the chefs’ time in Rick’s famous Padstow kitchen.

Who’s Cooking What?

Guests lucky enough to attend the event can expect a unique celebration of the restaurant’s culinary heritage. The menu includes:

  • Canapés from Stephane Delourme, including coconut prawns with papaya. Stephane spent over 20 years at The Seafood Restaurant.

  • Classic Maryland crab cakes by Paul Ripley, a former head chef for Rick Stein and Michelin star talent.

  • Mackerel recheado prepared by Scottish seafood chef Roy Brett, Rick’s former executive chef.

  • Fillet of cod with butter beans, fennel and aioli from Nathan Outlaw, served alongside current head chef Pete Murt.

  • Apple tarte tatin from current pastry chef Andrew Sullivan and former head pastry chef Stuart Pate.

The Evening Ends with a Throwback Disco

In a nod to the building’s original days as a nightclub, Rick and his son Ed will be DJing to end the night with a lively disco.

How to Get Tickets

Tickets for the dinner are £195 per person and include five courses and entertainment. They are extremely limited and will be allocated by ballot. To enter the ballot and be in with a chance of securing a pair of tickets, visit the official page:
