In a continued effort to protect the coastal environment, Korev Lager has renewed its partnership with the Marine Conservation Society for the fourth consecutive year. This ongoing collaboration underscores Korev’s commitment to environmental sustainability, particularly within its home region of the South West.
Beach Cleans and Donations
As part of the renewed partnership, Korev will sponsor beach cleans across Devon and Cornwall throughout the year. These events aim to reduce litter and monitor the impact it has on local coastlines, offering community members an opportunity to participate in safeguarding their environment.
In addition to sponsoring beach cleans, Korev will support the Marine Conservation Society through sales. The charity’s logo will now appear on Korev cans available in supermarkets, with 10p from every pack of cans sold being donated directly to the Marine Conservation Society. Furthermore, St Austell Brewery, Korev’s parent company, will donate 10p from every pint of Korev sold in its 44 managed pubs across the South West. These donation programmes are set to launch at the start of the new year.
Laura McKay, Marketing & Communications Director at St Austell Brewery, expressed her enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting the company’s dedication to preserving the South West coastline.
Expanding the Collaboration: A New Wine Brand
Building on the success of Korev’s partnership, St Austell Brewery has also introduced a new wine brand that will contribute to the Marine Conservation Society’s efforts. Every bottle of the New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc sold will generate a 20p donation to the charity.
This wine, described as vibrant and aromatic, offers zesty notes of lime and grapefruit, complemented by tropical hints of passionfruit and gooseberry. It is designed to pair well with seafood, salads, and other light dishes, making it a refreshing choice for consumers while also supporting a crucial cause.
The wine will be made available to St Austell Wines’ wholesale customers by late summer, further extending the reach of the partnership.

A Unified Effort for Marine Conservation
Lara Ellis, Corporate Partnerships Manager at the Marine Conservation Society, emphasised the multi-faceted nature of the partnership. The collaboration not only supports the charity’s financial needs but also amplifies its conservation campaigns across a broader audience in the South West.
The Marine Conservation Society is dedicated to promoting a cleaner, better-protected, and healthier ocean. By working closely with communities, businesses, and governments, the charity addresses threats to marine habitats and species, tackling issues such as plastic pollution, sewage, and harmful chemicals.
Korev, brewed in the Helles style and boasting a 4.8% ABV, continues to be a staple in the region, available nationwide in Morrisons, ASDA, and Co-op stores.
This enduring partnership between Korev and the Marine Conservation Society not only highlights the importance of corporate responsibility but also provides consumers with an easy way to contribute to the protection of the ocean, all while enjoying their favourite beverages.
