Cornwall’s Biggest Charitable Beer Festival Returns to St Austell Brewery’s Historic Cellars
St Austell Brewery is set to host Cornwall’s largest charitable beer festival in its historic Victorian cellars on 30th November. The annual Celtic Beer Festival promises a day filled with exceptional beers, live music, and community spirit.
A Day of Beer, Music, and Giving Back
Held within the brewery’s underground cellars at 63 Trevarthian Road, St Austell, Cornwall, PL25 4BY, the festival attracts thousands of beer enthusiasts. While attendees enjoy a wide selection of brews and musical performances, the primary goal is to raise funds for the St Austell Brewery Charitable Trust, which supports vital causes across the South West.
Since its launch in 2003, the Charitable Trust has raised over £1,000,000, aiding organisations and individuals in need. In 2023 alone, the Trust donated more than £80,793 to various causes, including youth mental health services, the air ambulance, and local families requiring support or equipment.
Brewing Director Georgina Young highlighted the dual purpose of the event:
“The Celtic Beer Festival is one of the highlights in our calendar where we all get together to celebrate every wonderful style of beer out there, from porters to sours, Double IPAs to Belgian Dubbels. There’s something for everyone and what’s more, it’s all for a great cause, with the money raised for the festival going back to brilliant causes across the South West.”
Over 100 Beers on Offer
Attendees will be treated to an impressive selection of over 100 beers, including brews from St Austell Brewery, its small batch programme, and guest breweries such as Gypsy Hill, St Ives Brewery, and Palmers.
St Austell Brewery’s brewing team has crafted 27 unique beers exclusively for the event. Highlights include a hibiscus-infused kettle sour, a blood orange Belgian wheat beer, a passionfruit and tangerine saison, and a chilli stout. Additionally, Harbour Brewing Co. will host its own dedicated bar, adding to the festival’s variety.
Live Music Line-Up
Music will commence at midday, starting with Banjovial, followed by performances from acts like Kernoasis, Tregony Teachers, and Good Old Fashion Lover Boys.

Tickets for the Celtic Beer Festival are priced at £30 each and include a commemorative festival cup, four half-pint tokens, a day of music (12 noon – 11 pm), and a digital events programme. Tickets are available on the day at St Austell Brewery, with festivities starting at 11 am.
