Helston-based confectionery company, Moosh Mallows, has been awarded the SME News Best Sustainably Made Confectioneries Company 2024 for South West England. This recognition highlights the company’s commitment to sustainability, a value they have upheld since their inception.

Founded by Teagan Rowlands-Bryant in 2021, Moosh Mallows crafts unique marshmallow treats using responsibly sourced ingredients. The packaging is entirely plastic-free, incorporating recyclable materials and eco-friendly, compostable cellophane. This approach aligns with the company’s commitment to reducing environmental impact by avoiding single-use plastics entirely, even though such plastics can be recycled.

Moosh Mallows has already made waves in the confectionery world, winning multiple awards, including several Gold Awards from Taste of the West for their innovative flavours like Lemon Moosh Pie and Peppermint & Dark Chocolate Moosh Mallows. The company was also a finalist in the Champion Confectionery category for 2024, showcasing its high-quality, handcrafted products on a national stage​(Taste of the West).

In addition to this recent accolade, Teagan appeared on Channel 4’s primetime programme, Aldi’s Next Big Thing, where Moosh Mallows competed for a chance to supply their products to over 1,000 Aldi stores nationwide. The show offered UK artisans a platform to pitch their products, with the winner securing a major contract with the supermarket giant.
