Rock-based Sharp’s Brewing Co is set to make a splash in the retail world with its popular ‘discovery’ surf-inspired Offshore Pilsner, which will now be available in six- and ten-can multipacks at shops and supermarkets across the country starting from the end of April.

This marks a significant expansion for the Offshore brand, which until now was primarily served in pubs, bars, and restaurants throughout the UK.

Inspired by Cornwall’s love for surfing and the pristine moments when offshore winds craft perfect waves, Offshore Pilsner offers a tropical fruit and herbal lemon scent paired with a crisp, clean taste and a brisk finish. Since its debut in 2018, this refreshing brew has not only captivated beer lovers but has also become the top-selling discovery lager in the South-West.

30 Years of Brewing Excellence

2024 is a landmark year for Sharp’s Brewing Co as it celebrates 30 years of innovative brewing along the scenic Cornish coast. Founded in 1994, Sharp’s has grown to become the South West’s largest brewer of cask beer and producer of the UK’s number one amber ale, Doom Bar. The brewery’s success is underscored by a haul of over 150 international brewing awards.

A Milestone Year

James Nicholls, the marketing controller at Sharp’s, shared his enthusiasm about the brewery’s dual celebration: the retail launch of Offshore Pilsner and the 30th anniversary of the company. “Being based here on the Cornish coast, myself and many of the team are keen surfers,” he said. “We created our Offshore Pilsner to celebrate those amazing clean wave days. It’s been a hit since we first launched it in pubs and bars, and we’re thrilled to now bring it directly to consumers nationwide.”

Sharp’s dedication to quality is evident in its impressive array of accolades, including the Country Winner award for Camel Valley Pilsner at the 2023 World Beer Awards. Other noted awards include silver medals for its Offshore Pilsner, Doom Bar, Atlantic Pale Ale, Twin Coast, and Doom Bar Zero at the International Brewing Challenge 2023.
