Red Arrows confirmed for Wednesday 13th August as part of Falmouth Week 2025

The world-famous RAF Red Arrows will return to the skies over Falmouth this summer, bringing their breathtaking aerobatic display to Falmouth Bay on Wednesday 13th August at 6.15pm.

A Crowd-Pulling Centrepiece for Falmouth Week

Confirmed by the Falmouth Town Team, the Red Arrows’ display will be one of the highlights of Falmouth Week 2025, a ten-day celebration running from Friday 8th to Sunday 17th August. The display promises a mix of classic crowd-pleasers and fresh manoeuvres, all delivered with the precision and flair the Red Arrows are known for.

Squadron Leader Jon Bond, who will lead the nine-jet Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team as Red 1 in 2025, said:

“Training for the Red Arrows’ 61st season is well underway, and we can’t wait to display for people this summer. Each season, we change our aerobatic show to ensure it remains dynamic, innovative and true to the Red Arrows’ pedigree of providing a non-stop, flowing and entertaining performance. Every member of the team hopes there will be a big crowd in Falmouth for our new show there – it’s brilliant to be returning to the vibrant coastal town in 2025.”

Best Spots to Watch

Spectators are encouraged to head to the seafront early and take advantage of the fantastic viewing points around town. Recommended locations include Pendennis Point, Cliff Road and Castle, Gyllyngvase Beach and Swanpool Beach.

Plan Ahead for a Busy Day

Speaking on behalf of the Falmouth Town Team, Richard Gates said:

“We’ve worked hard behind the scenes on Falmouth Week planning and are thrilled to have secured the services of the Red Arrows once again. We know how much of a draw they are for residents and the thousands of visitors who come into town to see them. This is a great example of teamwork, with Falmouth Town Council and Falmouth BID working with numerous partners to make this happen. It will be busy that day so do plan ahead, make use of public transport and follow our updates on social media. Come into town early if you can and enjoy all that Falmouth has to offer.”

Support on the Water from Falmouth Harbour

Miles Carden, CEO of Falmouth Harbour, added:

“This is amazing news! Falmouth Harbour is proud to support the Red Arrows display during Falmouth Week and Falmouth Sailing Week. As part of our commitment to ensuring the safety of participants and spectators, we will be providing vessels and personnel to establish a designated safety zone on the water, to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone attending the display. Falmouth Harbour is delighted to play a key role in supporting local events and we are very excited by the return of the Red Arrows.”

The Red Arrows’ display is subject to weather conditions and Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) approval.

About Falmouth Week

Falmouth Week is one of the South West’s leading summer festivals. While it began as a sailing regatta in 1837, it has grown into a full celebration of the town, with three core elements:

  • Sailing Week – Organised by the Port of Falmouth Sailing Association (PoFSA), with races held across Falmouth Bay and Carrick Roads.

  • Evening Performances – The Waterfront Marquee, run by Southwest Bars and Events, hosts live shows each night.

  • Shoreside Events – Activities and entertainment curated by the Falmouth Town Team take place throughout the town during the day.
