Polls Open for Penwerris Ward By-Election: Find Out Who’s Standing and Where to Vote
Residents of Penwerris Ward are heading to the polls today to elect two Falmouth Town Councillors and one Cornwall Councillor. Polling stations will be open until 10 PM tonight, and voters are reminded to check their polling card for their designated location, which may have changed since the last election.
Who’s Standing for Falmouth Town Council?
Six candidates are vying for two seats on Falmouth Town Council. Kevin Burrows and Mark Peters are standing as Independent candidates, while Daniel Konik and Tom Pearce represent the Labour Party. Jeffrey Muir is running under the Liberal Democrat banner, and Jackie Walkden is standing for the Green Party.
Cornwall Council Election Candidates
For the Cornwall Council seat, three candidates are in the running. Alan Rowe is representing the Labour Party, John Spargo is the Liberal Democrat candidate, and Jackie Walkden is also standing for the Green Party in this election.
How to Vote
All registered residents should have received their polling cards by now, which include details on where to vote. If you haven’t received your polling card, contact Cornwall Council’s Electoral Services Team on 0300 1231 115 or via email at voter-registration@cornwall.gov.uk.
Remember to Bring Your ID
Don’t forget to bring your photo ID when you head out to vote—it’s a requirement for casting your ballot. If you’re unsure about the identification needed or have any other questions, it’s best to reach out to Cornwall Council for clarification.
