Person Pulled from Water at Falmouth Marina After Late-Night Emergency

Published On: 3 February 2025Last Updated: 3 February 2025By

A person was rescued from the water at Falmouth Marina in the early hours of yesterday morning, thanks to a swift response from emergency services and marina staff.

Early Morning Call-Out

Falmouth Coastguard Rescue Team was alerted at 2:18 am following reports of a person in the water. Falmouth Lifeboat was also tasked to assist. However, by the time the coastguard team arrived, the individual had already been pulled from the water by their partner and marina staff.

With the person no longer in the water, the inshore lifeboat (ILB) was stood down.

Casualty Monitored at the Scene

Coastguard casualty carers remained on-site to monitor the individual’s condition before being released at approximately 3:45 am.

999 Call Key to Swift Response

The person had their phone with them and was able to dial 999, providing emergency services with their exact location and details of the situation. This quick thinking was crucial in ensuring a rapid response.

Falmouth Coastguard Rescue Team urges the public: if you spot someone in danger at the coast, call 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
