Major Car Park Closure at Falmouth Beauty Spot – What You Need to Know
Resurfacing works underway at Pendennis Headland with a focus on sustainability
The Lower Car Park at Pendennis Headland in Falmouth is currently closed for resurfacing, Falmouth Town Council has announced.
The upgrade is being carried out with Scheduled Monument Consent to ensure the protection of this historic site, and features the installation of a specialist eco-friendly surfacing. The material has been chosen as a permanent solution to improve both the stability and durability of the car park surface.

Partial Closure of Upper Car Park
While only the Lower Car Park is being resurfaced, a section of the Upper Car Park has also been closed to accommodate works vehicles. The rest of the Upper Car Park remains open to the public.
When Will It Reopen?
The works are expected to be completed by the end of next week, and the council has thanked the public for their patience and cooperation while the improvements are carried out.
