Business Owners Celebrate RNLI’s 200th Anniversary with Special Donation

Local business owners Kieran and Emily Carter, of The Cornwall Garage Door Centre, have made a heartfelt contribution to the Falmouth RNLI crew to mark the charity’s 200th anniversary. In a touching gesture, the couple presented the crew with new red beanie hats emblazoned with the RNLI 200 logo, a nod to the hats worn by RNLI crews in the 1960s.

A Cause Close to the Heart

Kieran and Emily are no strangers to supporting the RNLI, and their connection to the charity is a personal one. Emily’s brother, Elliot, is an ALB coxswain with the Falmouth RNLI, making their annual donation all the more meaningful. Kieran shared, “We donate to the cause once a year, it being close to both of our hearts. The charity saves lives daily and is largely run by volunteers and donations, so we’re pleased to be able to do our small part to support the crew.”

Supporting Those Who Save Lives

The RNLI is a charity that relies heavily on donations and the dedication of its volunteers to continue its life-saving work. The Carters’ gift, though simple, serves as a reminder of the community’s support for the RNLI and its vital role in coastal safety.

Falmouth RNLI crew expressed their thanks to the couple for their thoughtful contribution, which not only provides practical support but also celebrates the rich history and enduring legacy of the RNLI.
