Taking place on Saturday 1st March from 7pm at the National Maritime Museum Cornwall (NMMC), this lively event will celebrate the “Local Legends” of the shanty scene, with performances from four renowned groups: The Lemonaires, Month’s Advance, Acapella Moonshine, and The Oggymen.

Supporting the Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival
The fundraiser helps to support the Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival, which returns from 13th – 15th June 2025, and in turn, its principal charity partner, the RNLI. As one of Europe’s largest free nautical music festivals, the event in June is set to deliver another spectacular celebration of maritime music.
“This is a great opportunity to get excited for June’s Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival and the chance to listen to a few of the groups who will be performing there,” said Pat Hobden from the Sea Shanty Organising Committee.

More Tickets, but They Won’t Last Long
The fundraiser is a much-anticipated event each year, and demand for tickets is expected to be high. “The fundraiser is always well received, so we have increased the number of tickets this year, but you will still need to be quick to ensure you do not miss out!” Pat added.
Prizes, Music, and a Celebration of Tradition
Alongside an evening of rousing performances, attendees will have the chance to win fantastic prizes donated by festival venues, sponsors, and local businesses. Details of the prizes will be revealed in the coming weeks on the Falmouth Sea Shanty Festival website and social media channels.
“The Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival Fundraiser will be one of the first gigs of the year for The Lemonaires, and we are looking forward to sharing the stage with some of the ‘Local Legends’ of the shanty scene,” said Jason Wilkinson from The Lemonaires. “Make sure you come down to show your support for this long-standing festival.”
