St. Piran’s Parade in Redruth Unveils New Route and Attractions

Redruth is set to celebrate this year’s St. Piran’s Parade with a fresh route and a host of attractions, promising an unforgettable experience that honours Cornwall’s rich heritage. The announcement came from Discover Redruth, the local community organisation dedicated to promoting the town and its events.

The parade will commence from the bottom of Fore Street, taking participants on a vibrant journey through the town’s bustling streets and lively market stalls, before concluding at the Flowerpot Car Park. This new route aims to immerse attendees in the heart of Redruth’s dynamic atmosphere.

At the end of the parade, a Food Village will greet participants and spectators alike, offering a variety of Cornish culinary delights. Organisers have arranged for cosy tables and chairs, ensuring a comfortable dining experience for everyone. The Keltek Brewery Bar is set to serve a selection of refreshing brews, adding to the festive spirit of the day.

Adding an adventurous twist to the event, the Peninsula Sub Aqua Club will be showcasing the latest diving gear. This presents a unique opportunity for diving enthusiasts and novices to explore underwater adventures and gear up for diving explorations.

The celebration will also feature the legendary Trelawny Shout, a tribute to Cornwall’s heritage that is expected to unite the community in song and spirit.

Scheduled for Saturday, 2nd March, the St. Piran’s Parade in Redruth invites locals and visitors to join in a day filled with joy, culture, and community spirit. With its new route and expanded attractions, this year’s parade is poised to be an engaging and memorable celebration for all ages.
