Published On: 1 March 2024Last Updated: 2 March 2024By

On Sunday, April 21st, Cornwall will witness a gathering of compassionate community members at the Vegan Fayre and Charity Fundraiser, an event aimed at promoting veganism and supporting animal rescue efforts.

Organised by The Naturally Vegan Plot, a not-for-profit organisation who coordinates events and volunteers for Last Chance Hotel Animal Rescue & Rehome, Cornwall UK Chacewater based Animal Sanctuary and Wildlife Rescue, this event will take place from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM and is set to feature an array of activities that celebrate vegan lifestyle choices while aiding a noble cause.

The fundraiser, held in support of the Chacewater-based Animal Sanctuary and Wildlife Rescue, promises attendees a “Taste Of Veganism” through an extensive lineup of stalls. These stalls, manned by local vegan businesses, charities, and social groups, will offer tasters, experiences, samples, and engaging conversations to foster a deeper understanding of veganism’s benefits and its impact on animal welfare.

Adding to the allure of the event are the generous prize draw prizes, contributed by stallholders and vegan ventures from across the nation. The details of these prizes can be found on the event’s facebook page, promising excitement and engagement for those in attendance.

The highlight of the late afternoon entertainment includes performances by world-renowned Spanish Guitarist Extraordinaire Mark Barnwell and the acoustic duo ‘Changing States,’ featuring Tamsyn Berry and Graham Maunder. Their music is expected to provide a perfect backdrop to an event dedicated to compassion, community, and change.

In the lead-up to the event, residents of Truro, Penryn, and Falmouth can expect to see bus stop billboards promoting the Vegan Fayre and Charity Fundraiser from April 8th to April 22nd, ensuring that the message of compassion and community support reaches far and wide.

This event not only offers a platform for local vegan businesses and charities to showcase their work but also represents a vital fundraising opportunity for the Last Chance Hotel Animal Rescue & Rehome. It’s a day for the community to come together in support of animal welfare, enjoy great food, music, and learn more about the vegan lifestyle.
