It might be early to talk about Christmas, but Cornwall Gold is gearing up to launch a brand-new Christmas market that promises a festive shopping experience like no other. Running from 5th to 8th December, this exciting event will combine the magic of Christmas with Cornish history, all under one roof.

Convenient and Festive

Located just a few minutes off the A30 near Portreath, the Cornwall Gold Christmas Market offers visitors a hassle-free and celebrated indoor festive event. With free parking and entry, guests can enjoy a unique Christmas shopping experience without the usual stresses. The market will feature 40 local stallholders, showcasing an array of products alongside the stunning pieces in the Cornwall Gold jewellery showroom.

Delicious Treats and Festive Fun

The Pantry, Cornwall Gold’s award-winning café, will serve tempting homemade treats including mince pies, mulled wine, and hot chocolates, in addition to their usual delicious menu. The event promises plenty of festive fun, including an appearance by Santa and possibly even reindeers, making it an unmissable date on the Cornish Christmas calendar.

A Glimpse into Cornish History

Visitors can also explore the interactive Tolgus Mill exhibition, which opened in 2023. This free exhibition offers a glimpse into Cornwall’s tin milling past, with more of the Tolgus tin incorporated into Cornwall Gold’s jewellery collections. The restoration project on the roof of the Grade II listed Tolgus Tin Mill is a significant highlight, preserving this important piece of Cornish history.

Supporting Local Businesses

The Christmas market will support small local businesses, providing a platform for them to showcase their products. Cornwall Gold’s Managing Director, Mike Taylor, expressed his excitement about the event, highlighting its celebration of Cornish history, people, and local businesses. “With fairy lights, a hot chocolate hut, Santa, mulled wine, and our beautiful jewellery collections, we are confident this will offer an unrivalled shopping experience,” Mike said.
