This April, Mounts Bay Marine Group, in collaboration with Plastic Free Penzance, invites the community to a unique environmental gathering.

Set against the scenic backdrop of Wherrytown Beach in Penzance, the event promises an engaging mix of music and environmental stewardship through a silent disco beach clean.

Event Details

Scheduled for Sunday, April 7th, the beach clean-up begins at 11:00 am. This endeavour is part of the SAS Million Mile Clean, a campaign aimed at tackling the plastic pollution affecting our seas and landscapes. Participants are encouraged to join in the effort to protect marine life and enjoy a spring boogie on the beach, all while contributing to an important cause.

What to Expect

Attendees will be provided with all necessary equipment for the clean-up. The event is not just about picking up litter; it’s an opportunity to enjoy music through headphones, dancing on the sand, making it a festive yet purposeful gathering. It’s a chance to meet like-minded individuals who care about the environment and want to make a difference.

Participation Guidelines

The organisers have made it clear that everyone is welcome, but there is a note for families: all participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. This ensures the safety and enjoyment of the event for attendees of all ages.

Join the Effort

Mounts Bay Marine Group and Plastic Free Penzance are looking forward to seeing many faces, both familiar and new, at the Easter Silent Disco Beach Clean. It’s an opportunity for community members to engage in a fun, environmentally beneficial activity at one of Penzance’s most beautiful locations. Together, participants will dance the debris away, leaving Wherrytown Beach cleaner and safer for everyone to enjoy.
