“I am delighted that the City Council is once again hosting a bonfire and fireworks display for the local community“ said Truro Mayor Cllr Carol Swain. “I would like to thank staff from the City Council and Visit Truro for helping to organise the event, CHBN Radio for their support, members of the 18th Truro Sea Scouts who will be providing the food and members of the Cornwall Federation of Young Farmers Club who are helping to steward the event”.
I am particularly pleased that the event will be raising money for a charity – Cornwall Air Ambulance – which I have supported for many years, and which provides such a vital service for the residents of Cornwall in their times of greatest need.”
