Sunday 18th August at 5pm at the Lock gates, Bude.
A procession of Clergy, choir, congregation and representatives of RNLI plus any members of the public meet at 4.45 at St Michael’s Church, Bude and make their way down Church Path and along Breakwater Rd. to the Lock gates where they are met by Lifeboat crew, Coastguards and members of the public. Bude Metric Brass Band are in attendance.
After a short service and the blessing of the sea and lifeboat crew, the crew do a brief demonstration. There is a collection during the final hymn which is divided between the RNLI, the Bude Metric Band and St Michael’s Church.
