The Cornish Oven Donates to Clean Cornwall
The Cornish Oven is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a significant charitable initiative, allocating £25,000 to support five local charities as part of their “Thank You Cornwall” campaign. One of the beneficiaries, Clean Cornwall, received a £5,000 donation, which will aid in their efforts to maintain Cornwall’s natural beauty.
As part of this campaign, a community clean-up took place on Hayle’s North Quay, with Louise and her team from The Cornish Oven joining forces with volunteers and staff from Hayle North Quay Developments, Cornwall Rural Community Charity (CRCC), and Clean Cornwall. Together, they collected 27 bags of rubbish, demonstrating a strong commitment to preserving the local environment.
Community Collaboration
This event highlighted the power of community collaboration, with The Cornish Oven leading by example in giving back to the community that has supported them for 25 years. Clean Cornwall expressed gratitude for the donation, emphasising its importance in supporting their ongoing environmental efforts.
After the clean-up, participants were treated to pasties from The Cornish Oven and coffee from Gilbert’s Beach Bar & Kitchen, celebrating a successful day of community service.
Ongoing Commitment
The Cornish Oven’s 25th anniversary celebrations extend beyond this single event, as they continue to engage the public in selecting the remaining four charities to receive donations. This campaign underscores the company’s commitment to giving back to the community and supporting local causes that make a difference in Cornwall.
