World-class photography, immersive experiences and hands-on fun at the Eden Project

The Eden Project is set to transform into a world of natural wonder this summer as the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition returns for its 60th year – bringing 100 breathtaking images to Cornwall from 24th July to 28th September 2025.

The prestigious exhibition, on loan from the Natural History Museum in London, showcases the very best in nature photography and photojournalism. The images will be nestled throughout Eden’s Outdoor Gardens and Core Building, allowing visitors to explore powerful visuals of the natural world while surrounded by Eden’s iconic landscapes.

Photography That Stops You in Your Tracks

This year’s collection celebrates six decades of the internationally acclaimed competition, presenting awe-inspiring images from all over the globe. Visitors will be immersed in the beauty, power and fragility of nature, with photographs that highlight the challenges faced by wildlife and the diverse habitats they call home.

According to Simon Townsend, General Manager of the Eden Project, “We are absolutely thrilled to welcome the incredible Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition back to the Eden Project this summer. Our planet faces serious challenges, but at the Eden Project, we believe that by working together and with nature, there is hope. The striking images within this year’s exhibition not only highlight these pressing issues but also capture the awe-inspiring beauty of the natural world, offering a powerful call to action.”

Explore the Magic of Enchanted Earth

The exhibition forms part of Eden’s Enchanted Earth summer programme, running from 24th July to 7th September. This immersive experience promises a journey through hidden wonders of the earth and beyond, featuring mesmerising soundscapes, shimmering wings, bioluminescent oceans, and a ceiling of butterflies.

Visitors can also enjoy hands-on activities including giant crystal and mineral dig pits, storytelling performances with The Zoo Keepers, and theatrical puppetry that brings animals to life. It’s a celebration of creativity, science, exploration and the natural world.

New Photography Competition Launched

To mark 25 years of the National Wildflower Centre, the Eden Project has also launched a brand-new Wildflower Photographer of the Year competition. Open to both amateurs and professionals, the competition invites people to celebrate wild plants in bloom across the UK this summer. Entries can be submitted throughout the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition. More details can be found at edenproject.com/wildflower-photo.
