Chart-topping sensation Tom Grennan will take the stage at the Eden Sessions in Cornwall tonight, July 5th, 2024.
The Bedford-born singer is set to perform to a packed crowd, with doors opening at 6:00pm, Liv Dawson taking the stage at 7:45pm, and Tom’s performance scheduled from 9:00pm to 10:30pm. These timings may be subject to change.
Tom Grennan’s Meteoric Rise
Tom Grennan’s rise to fame has been nothing short of prolific. Over the past few years, he has achieved two consecutive UK number one albums and five UK platinum singles, amassing over 1.3 billion streams and attracting 9 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
2023 was a pivotal year for Tom, marking his first UK headline arena tour and his debut performance at the Glastonbury Festival on the Other Stage. This came just a day after his third album, “What Ifs & Maybes,” topped the UK charts. Additionally, Tom was honoured with the Best UK Act award at the 2023 MTV Europe Music Awards.
From Football to Music Stardom
Before his music career, Tom trained as a professional footballer, playing briefly for Luton Town. His love for the game continues, as evidenced by his participation in the annual celebrity Soccer Aid, where he won Player of the Match for two consecutive years.
Tom first burst onto the music scene in 2016 as a guest vocalist on the Chase & Status track “All Goes Wrong,” followed by his debut single and EP, “Something in the Water.” His first studio album, “Lighting Matches,” released in 2018, peaked at number five on the UK Album charts and became one of the best-selling debut albums of the year.
Chart-Topping Success
Tom’s breakthrough came with his second studio album in 2021, which shot straight to number one and featured singles like “This is the Place” and “Little Bit of Love.” His latest album, “What Ifs & Maybes,” also entered the UK chart at number one, supported by singles “Remind Me,” “All These Nights,” “You’re Not Alone,” and “Here.”
In addition to his solo work, Tom has collaborated with several high-profile musicians and producers. Notable collaborations include the 2021 Calvin Harris track “By Your Side” and the 2022 KSI hit “Not Over Yet,” both Top 10 hits. “Let’s Go Home Together” with Ella Henderson, featured on the extended version of the “Evering Road” album, also made it into the Top 10 in 2021 and achieved platinum status.
Liv Dawson to Open the Show
Joining Tom Grennan tonight as a special guest is singer-songwriter Liv Dawson. Liv has been writing and performing music since the age of 13 and, now at 20, has garnered over 42 million streams. She has supported artists like Tom Walker, Jessie Ware, and Honne, and has toured the UK and Europe with Khalid.
