Eden Project Hosts Jobs Fair to Offer Unique Employment and Apprenticeship Opportunities
Are you looking for a unique opportunity to work in one of the UK’s most iconic environmental and educational attractions? The Eden Project is opening its doors for a special Jobs Fair on Saturday, 24 February. This event is designed for individuals interested in exploring a range of job opportunities and apprenticeships available at the Eden Project.
Scheduled to take place in the Gallery, adjacent to the ticketing hall within the Visitor Centre, the Jobs Fair invites prospective employees to engage directly with current staff members across various departments from 10 am to 2 pm. This open-house event is an ideal chance for attendees to ask questions, understand the organisation’s values, and discover how working at the Eden Project contributes to positive change both locally and globally.
Attendance is free, offering a perfect opportunity for job seekers to learn more about the roles available, including part-time, full-time, and seasonal positions. Specifically, the Eden Project is urgently seeking to fill positions for Hospitality Assistants and Chefs, with competitive hourly wages starting from £8.10 for individuals aged 15-17, £9.10 for those aged 18-20, and £10.42 for applicants 21 and older, with a review due in April 2024.
For those also interested in exploring the Eden Project’s stunning biomes and gardens, admission to the site on the day of the Jobs Fair requires a valid entry ticket. However, attendees may be eligible for free entry as part of the Eden Project’s community days offer.
In addition to job opportunities, the Eden Project is excited to promote its two-year apprenticeship programs, run in partnership with Cornwall College, and Truro and Penwith College. These apprenticeships cover a variety of fields, including horticulture and events management, providing invaluable experience and nationally recognised qualifications.
Prospective attendees can express their interest and confirm their attendance by contacting the Eden Project’s recruitment team via email at recruitment@edenproject.com. This Jobs Fair is not only a chance to find out why Eden is such a rewarding place to work but also an opportunity to be part of a movement actively working towards environmental sustainability and education.
