New Owners Take Over Cornwall Based Raw Dog Food Business – What’s Next for Puddles and Paws?

A well-known raw dog food business in Cornwall has entered a new chapter as Andrea and Jo officially took ownership of Puddles and Paws, also known as Kernow Raw Pet Food, on 1st January 2025.

A New Beginning

Andrea first learned about the opportunity in late December 2024 and, seeing its potential, decided to take the leap. The business, known for providing high-quality raw dog food, was a perfect match for Andrea’s vision of producing her own balanced dog treats in the future.

The new owners have expressed their gratitude to Dawn and Jess, the previous owners, for building a successful business and for their patience in answering all the questions that come with a business handover.

“We hope we can do them proud,” Andrea and Jo shared, acknowledging the solid foundation they’ve inherited.

Settling In and Overcoming Challenges

With the transition well underway, Andrea and Jo have been working through the expected teething problems of a new venture. They are quickly finding their feet and are keen to ensure customers continue to receive the same level of service they’ve come to expect.

A fresh stock delivery is due to arrive on Wednesday 8th January, helping to replenish supplies. However, customers who can’t find their usual orders are encouraged to get in touch, as Andrea and Jo are eager to meet their needs.

“If there are items that you would like and we don’t stock, call us and have a chat and we will see what we can do,” they said.

Looking to the Future

Andrea, who is currently studying canine nutrition, and Jo, a support worker for young adults, are passionate about pet health and well-being. The couple, who live in St Dennis, have three small dogs with big personalities, keeping them on their toes.

Though their original plans to build a dog treat business are temporarily on hold, they are excited about the future of Puddles and Paws and their role in Cornwall’s raw dog food community.
