Stick Man Family Adventure Trail
Cost: £4 per activity pack
Help Stick Man find his way back to the family tree on a magical woodland trail packed with wildlife facts and fun activities. Grab an activity pack from the Ranger’s Hut (open Sunday to Thursday, 9.30am to 3.00pm during school holidays) to make the most of your walk. It includes extra games and a special passport for collecting stamps.

Cost: £5 per activity pack
Dog lovers can join Wallace and Gromit for a forest trail with a difference. Complete dog-themed challenges, solve puzzles and track down the sneaky Feathers McGraw. Pick up an activity pack from the Ranger’s Hut to be in with a chance of winning a dog-friendly holiday.

Free Family Bike Rides
Cost: FREE
Whether you’ve got little ones on balance bikes or teenagers keen for a challenge, Cardinham Woods has something for everyone. Try the gentle Lady Vale Walk or test your skills on the Bodmin Beast singletrack trail.

Forest Activity Bags
Cost: £5 per bag hire
Get hands-on with nature using a Forest Activity Bag. Packed with up to four hours of ideas, quizzes and challenges, it’s designed for families to enjoy at their own pace. Every child gets a goody bag to take home.

Scenic Walking Trails
Cost: FREE
Choose from a selection of walking routes to suit all fitness levels. Families with young children will enjoy the pushchair-friendly Lady Vale Walk, which features Gruffalo sculptures. For those up for a steeper challenge, the Wheal Glyn Walk takes you to the ruins of Cardinham’s old ‘bubble mine’. All-terrain mobility scooters are also available for hire.

Wildlife Spotting
Cost: FREE
Turn a simple walk into an exciting nature hunt. Look out for everything from bugs and birds to deer. Download the free wildlife spotter sheet to help children log what they find.
All activities are available throughout the summer holidays. Activity packs and bag hire can be picked up from the Ranger’s Hut, open Sunday to Thursday from 9.30am to 3.00pm. Parking charges apply to all visits, though Forestry England members can park for free.
