Published On: 23 February 2024Last Updated: 23 February 2024By

Newquay Zoo is temporarily revising its schedule for educational talks and character meet and greet sessions to offer an improved experience for its visitors. These changes are part of the zoo’s ongoing efforts to engage and educate visitors about the wonders of wildlife and the importance of conservation. The schedule adjustments are as follows:

From 21st – 25th February & 28th February – 3rd March:

  • 11am: African Savannah talk, offering insights into this unique ecosystem and its inhabitants.
  • 12pm & 2pm: Meet and Greet with Bing & Flop, a special opportunity for children and families to interact with these beloved characters.
  • 3pm: Meerkats talk, focusing on the intriguing behaviours and social structures of these animals.

On 26th & 27th February:

  • The schedule will return to its regular programming, with the zoo’s normal array of talks and activities.

From 4th March onwards:

  • The zoo will revert to its standard schedule of educational talks and meet and greets for the foreseeable future.

Visitors are advised to listen carefully to tannoy announcements for any updates and to look out for rangers throughout the zoo, who are more than happy to answer questions or engage in conversations about the animals and the zoo’s conservation work.

This temporary adjustment aims to enrich the visitor experience by providing a structured and informative itinerary that highlights some of the zoo’s key attractions and conservation messages. Newquay Zoo encourages all visitors to take advantage of these educational sessions to deepen their understanding of animal behaviour, habitat conservation, and the global efforts required to protect endangered species.
