Guided Walk and Stargazing Event on Bodmin Moor to Explore Historical Sites and Starry Skies

Cornwall National Landscape is excited to announce a special guided walk and stargazing event on Bodmin Moor, scheduled for Thursday, 4th April.
This event is part of the Monumental Improvement project and offers participants a unique opportunity to explore the rich history and natural beauty of Cornwall’s landscape.
The event will begin with a guided walk, where attendees will have the chance to visit two significant archaeological sites: King Arthur’s Hall and the Emblance Downs Stone Circles. These sites are key components of the Monumental Improvement project, showcasing Cornwall’s deep historical roots and cultural heritage.
Following the walk, the evening will transition into a stargazing session led by the Bodmin Moor International Dark Sky Landscape team from Caradon Observatory. Participants will have access to powerful telescopes and will be guided by experts on how to interpret the night sky. This segment of the event promises to be a captivating experience, offering a glimpse into the wonders of the universe from one of the UK’s most renowned dark sky locations.
The event is primarily funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, highlighting the community’s commitment to preserving and promoting Cornwall’s natural and historical sites.
