Cornwall Heritage Trust is inviting the community to embark on a unique guided walk at Sancreed Beacon this April, aimed at wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers of all ages.

Scheduled for Friday, 5th April, from 9 am to 10 am, this hour-long journey is designed to educate participants on the art of tracking wildlife, offering insights into identifying and interpreting signs of animal presence.

Led by James, the Countryside Ranger Apprentice at Cornwall Heritage Trust, attendees will have the opportunity to explore the rich biodiversity of Sancreed Beacon. This area, renowned for its stunning flora, fauna, and panoramic views across Mount’s Bay, serves as a perfect backdrop for such an educational experience. The guided walk promises to take participants through a variety of habitats, revealing the diverse animal life that calls Sancreed Beacon home.

Sancreed Beacon is not only a haven for wildlife but also a site of historical significance, with remains dating back to the Bronze Age. It stands as one of the 16 historic places under the care of Cornwall Heritage Trust, located near Penzance.

Tickets for this event are available at £10 per person, with an open invitation to individuals of all ages interested in wildlife and nature. Due to limited availability, interested attendees are encouraged to secure their spots early, as places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Book online at EventBrite.

This engaging walk is part-funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, reflecting the importance of preserving and appreciating both the natural and historical heritage of Cornwall.
