This Spring, The Lost Gardens of Heligan invites nature enthusiasts and those looking to rejuvenate their spirits to participate in the unique “Walks of a Curious Nature” event.

Scheduled for March 17th, from 2 pm to 4:30 pm, this event promises an immersive journey through the enchanting landscapes of one of the UK’s most beloved gardens.

“Walks of a Curious Nature” is designed to celebrate the season’s change, encouraging participants to engage with the environment through play, movement, and mindful observation. Developed in collaboration with educator and writer Rupert Isaacson, the event aims to showcase how interaction with nature can significantly uplift mood and enhance overall well-being.

Participants will have the opportunity to explore The Lost Gardens of Heligan estate, renowned for its tranquil beauty and rich biodiversity. The experience begins with a warm welcome around a glowing firepit, setting the tone for a session filled with discovery and connection. Attendees are encouraged to embrace the emerging life in the woodlands, listen to the celebratory songs of birds, and observe the vibrant colours and signs of growth that signal the arrival of Spring.

The event is more than a simple walk; it includes seasonal storytelling, thought-provoking exercises, and a spot of hammock swinging for those looking to relax amidst nature’s wonders. A short meditation session followed by a herbal infusion shared around the campfire will offer moments of reflection, allowing guests to ponder their connection to the natural world.

Designed to align the science behind joy and calmness with the benefits of spending time outdoors, “Walks of a Curious Nature” promises an energising and insightful experience. The event highlights the importance of staying curious about the natural world, encouraging a deeper appreciation for the changing seasons and our place within the earth’s cycles.

Please note that the experience involves around 90 minutes of continuous walking, including steps and steep inclines, making it unsuitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs. Guests are advised to dress appropriately for the Cornish weather and wear sturdy footwear. The event is open to individuals over the age of 12, with no pets allowed.

For those interested in participating in this celebration of Spring and rejuvenation, bookings can be made through the The Lost Gardens of Heligan website.

Join them as they step into nature’s embrace, finding joy, calm, and a renewed sense of optimism for the journey ahead.
