These walks showcase the varied attractions, from serene landscapes to remnants of Cornwall’s industrious past.

The Luxulyan Valley circular walk tops the list, inviting adventurers on a 3.6-mile journey through a World Heritage site filled with historical engineering marvels, including a vast viaduct that marks the industrial heritage connecting Cornwall to Newquay. Recognised for its beauty and historical significance, this trail is an easy-to-moderate walk through what was once lauded as one of Cornwall’s most glorious walks.

Explorers fascinated by history can embark on the Lost Church and Perranporth dunes walk, a 6-mile adventure to a hidden chapel engulfed by Britain’s highest dune system for nearly a thousand years, offering a blend of mystery and scenic beauty.

For a glimpse into Cornwall’s industrial era, the Stithians to Kennall Vale walk, spanning 5.2 miles, traverses the landscape shaped by Victorian gunpowder mills, set in the scenic valley of the River Kennall. This moderate-to-strenuous walk is a journey through a past punctuated by dramatic industrial events.

The trek to Rough Tor and Brown Willy presents a 3.8-mile moderate walk to Cornwall’s tallest tors, surrounded by an ancient landscape littered with prehistoric relics, offering panoramic views and a deep connection to Cornwall’s ancient history.

The 4.2-mile Helford and Frenchman’s Creek walk weaves through lush valleys and the pristine waters of Frenchman’s Creek, immortalised by Daphne du Maurier’s novel, encapsulating the timeless beauty of Cornwall’s countryside.

Additional highlighted walks include:

  • Constantine to Scott’s Quay: A moderate 3.8-mile walk through historical woodlands to a once-bustling industrial creek.
  • Minions and the Cheesewring: A 4.1-mile easy-to-moderate trek around iconic landmarks, stone circles, and ancient minehouses.
