Celebrating St Piran’s Day at Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm with Free Entry and Local Flavours
In the spirit of St Piran’s Day, Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm is opening its doors to the public for a day filled with Cornish culture, music, and, of course, cyder. This event, taking place today, March 5th, offers free entry to all visitors from 9am to 5pm, inviting them to explore the rich heritage of Cornwall through a variety of experiences.
Highlighting the day’s festivities, “The Perraners,” a renowned local choir, is set to perform live, promising attendees an enchanting musical experience with shows scheduled at 1pm and 2pm. These performances provide a perfect backdrop to explore the various offerings of Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm.
Visitors will have the opportunity to indulge in free tastings of over 60 Healeys products. The selection includes a range of cyders, soft drinks, spirits, wine, and jams, all available in the Healeys Tasting Room. This array of beverages and treats showcases the farm’s dedication to crafting traditional Cornish flavours and innovations in cyder making.
Additionally, the farm is offering free self-guided tours for all visitors. These tours encompass Kay’s Cyderhouse, production halls, and the cyder museum, giving guests a behind-the-scenes look at the cyder making process, from apple to bottle. The tour is not just an educational journey but also a celebration of Cornwall’s cyder heritage.
True to Cornish tradition, attendees can enjoy Cornish cyder and pasties, rounding off the authentic Cornish day out. The farm emphasises that there is no need for pre-booking; guests are encouraged to simply turn up and enjoy the festivities.
The team at Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm is ready to welcome visitors with open arms, promising a day filled with culture, history, and the best of Cornish hospitality. This St Piran’s Day event not only honours the patron saint of Cornwall but also celebrates the community’s rich traditions and the farm’s commitment to sharing them with the wider public.
