Cardinham Woods to Introduce Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR)
Cardinham Woods, managed by Forestry England, is set to modernise its car parking facilities by implementing an Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology. The update aims to enhance operational efficiency within the popular woodland area.
Visitors to Cardinham Woods will observe the installation of new equipment as the site prepares for the transition to ANPR. This advanced system will capture vehicle registrations upon entry and exit, eliminating the need for physical parking tickets. Guests are advised to pay for parking upon arrival as usual, with the new system facilitating a more streamlined process.
Forestry England has also issued a reminder to its members to ensure their vehicle registrations are current in their online accounts. This update is critical for members to enjoy uninterrupted access to the car park under the new system.
The official switch to the ANPR system will be announced in due course, promising a seamless and efficient parking experience for all visitors to Cardinham Woods.
