Tragic Loss in St Ives: Family Pays Tribute to Beloved Grandfather

In a heart-wrenching incident in St Ives, the family of David Clark, an 83-year-old man who tragically lost his life following a collision, has come forward to honour his memory.

Heartbreaking Incident

The distressing event unfolded on the 30th of April, when emergency services rushed to Trelyon Avenue in response to a serious collision involving a car and two pedestrians. David was grievously injured in the accident and was promptly taken to the hospital. Despite the best efforts of medical professionals, he succumbed to his injuries a week later, on the 7th of May.

A Life Full of Love and Family

David, spent his life in Mickleton in the Cotswolds. Described as a loving husband to Daphne and a proud father to Kerry and Samantha, David’s family fondly remembers him. He was also a doting grandfather to Gee, Issy, Will, Luke, and Bea, and took immense joy in his role as a foster grandfather to Skye and Evie, and as a great-grandfather to Freddie.

David and Daphne were in St Ives celebrating Daphne’s retirement and their 50th wedding anniversary. They had chosen St Ives, a place they adored for its serene beauty and the precious moments they had previously spent there. Their little dog, Zara, was also part of this special trip, adding to the family’s cherished memories.

A Time of Mourning

In this moment of profound sorrow, the family has requested privacy. They continue to remember David as a significant and loving figure in their lives, whose absence will leave a void that is deeply felt.

David’s life, marked by his commitment to his family and his joy in life’s simple pleasures, leaves a legacy of love and cherished memories for all who knew him.
